About Ampicillin Capsules
Ampicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic. Doctors prescribe it for some bacterial infections, such as certain urinary tract, respiratory and gastrointestinal infections. Like all antibiotics, it does not work for colds, flu or other viral infections.
People who are allergic to penicillin must not take ampicillin. Take antibiotics only when they are prescribed for you, and finish the course your prescriber gives you.
